Nexis Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Nexis collects, why it is used, and how server owners or users can request removal. Nexis is a Discord bot and web dashboard for moderation networks, economy features, welcome messages, auto roles, reaction roles, music controls, games, and server utilities.

1. Information Nexis Collects

Nexis stores only the data needed to provide its configured bot and dashboard features. This may include:

Discord user IDs, usernames, guild IDs, guild names, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs, and network IDs.
Moderation records such as warnings, timeout penalties, custom fines, scoped global ban actions, unban actions, reasons, timestamps, executor IDs, and affected guild counts.
Economy data such as wallet balances, bank balances, inventory items, net worth values, staff fine totals, cooldowns, and transaction-style activity created by Nexis commands.
Dashboard configuration such as network membership, warning fine amounts, timeout fine amounts, command permission settings, welcome message settings, welcome image URLs, auto role settings, and reaction role settings.
Operational logs such as command execution results, internal bot errors, dashboard sign-ins, dashboard setting changes, and suggested fixes for failures.
Discord OAuth session data used to keep you signed in to the dashboard, including your Discord user ID, display name, avatar URL, and temporary access tokens.

2. How Nexis Uses Information

Nexis uses stored information to:

Run slash commands and return command results.
Keep scoped global bans limited to the guild network configured by a server owner.
Maintain economy accounts, bank accounts, inventories, fines, and net worth calculations.
Apply moderation penalties, warning fines, timeout fines, and custom fines.
Send welcome messages and apply auto roles or reaction roles when configured by server owners.
Show manageable servers and bot settings in the web dashboard.
Log errors and command activity so issues can be diagnosed and fixed.

3. Discord OAuth and Dashboard Login

The Nexis dashboard uses Discord OAuth so users can sign in with Discord. Nexis requests only the scopes needed for dashboard access, such as identifying the signed-in Discord account and listing guilds the account can manage. Nexis does not ask for permission to read your direct messages.

4. What Nexis Does Not Do

Nexis does not sell personal data.
Nexis does not store Discord account passwords.
Nexis does not read or store direct messages.
Nexis does not intentionally collect payment information, legal names, home addresses, or government IDs.

5. Data Sharing

Nexis may send bot and website logs to Discord webhook channels configured by the bot owner. Those logs are used for moderation audits, uptime checks, error diagnosis, and security review. Nexis also interacts with Discord's API to perform bot and dashboard functions. Data is not sold to advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Retention

Data is kept for as long as it is needed to provide Nexis features, maintain moderation records, support server configuration, or diagnose bot issues. Removing Nexis from a server stops future collection for that server, but stored configuration or moderation records may remain until removal is requested.

7. Data Removal Requests

Server owners can request deletion of configuration and stored data tied to their guild. Users can request review or removal of data tied to their Discord user ID where removal does not conflict with legitimate moderation records kept by a server owner. To request removal, contact support and include the relevant Discord user ID and/or guild ID.

8. Security

Nexis uses environment variables for sensitive tokens and does not display bot tokens, client secrets, webhook URLs, or dashboard session secrets on public pages. Dashboard access is limited based on Discord account and server permissions.

9. Children's Privacy

Nexis is intended for Discord users who are allowed to use Discord under Discord's own Terms of Service. Nexis is not directed at children below the age required to use Discord.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as Nexis features change. Continued use of Nexis after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
